Where I am from
Growing up in a small town
I come from a small town called Willow Creek. It is located in the northern part of California, nestled among towering redwood trees. Growing up in a small town was both comforting and challenging. Everyone knew each other, which meant that there was always someone to lend a helping hand or offer support. However, being in a small town also meant that opportunities were limited, and it was easy to feel trapped or isolated.
Moving to the big city
After finishing high school, I decided to move to San Francisco for college. Compared to my small town, San Francisco was a bustling metropolis with endless opportunities. I quickly fell in love with the city’s energy, culture, and diversity. The people were friendly and welcoming, making it easy for me to find my place. Living in the city challenged me in ways that I had never experienced before, but it also allowed me to grow and learn about myself.
Settling down in a new home
After graduating from college, I decided to stay in San Francisco, and it has become my home away from home. I have built a life here with friends, a career, and experiences that I will always cherish. While I still miss the small-town feeling of community at times, I have come to appreciate the opportunities and excitement that come with living in a city.
Overall, my journey has taken me from a small town to a big city, and I am grateful for all of the experiences and lessons along the way.
